Windows 7 Users 

1. Open the Network and Sharing Center by clicking the Start button >> Control Center >> Network and Sharing Center.

2. On the left, click Manage Wireless Networks.

3. If you already have a KU profile, delete the profile.

4. On the next screen, click Add. On the Manually connect to a wireless network screen, click Manually create a network profile.

5. Enter the information as shown below, and click Next:

a. Network name: KU

b. Security type: WPA2-Enterprise

c. Encryption type: AES

d. Security key: <Leave blank>

e. If you would like your computer to automatically connect to the KU network when it is available, choose Automatically start this connection and click Next.

6. You will see the “Successfully added KU” message. Without closing the screen, click Change connection settings:

7. Choose the Security tab on the KU Wireless Network Properties screen.

a. Security type: WPA2-Enterprise

b. Encryption type: AES

8. Click Choose a network authentication method. On the drop-down menu, choose Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP). Click the Settings button.

9. On the Protected EAP Properties screen, uncheck the Validate server certificate option.

10. On the Select Authentication Method drop-down box, choose Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) and click Configure...

11. On the EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties screen, uncheck the Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) option and click OK.

12. In Advanced settings, click OK. On the KU Wireless Network Properties screen, click Advanced Settings.

13. On the 802.1X settings tab of the Advanced settings screen, check Specify authentication mode and choose User authentication on the drop-down menu.

14. Click OK and click OK again. Click Close. The KU connection should successfully be added.

15. If you are within the range of the KU network, Windows Security will automatically bring up the Network Authentication dialog box. Enter your KU NetID and KU NetID Password and click OK.

a. User Name: <your KU NetID>

b. Password: <your KU NetID Password>

Windows 8 Users 

Mac-OS Users 

1. Click the Airport icon on the upper right corner of the screen and select KU.

2. On the screen that comes up, enter the following information:

a. User Name: <your KU NetID>
b. Password: <your KU NetID Password>
c. 802.1X: Automatic
d. Check Remember this network option
e. Click OK.

3. If the Accept Certificate dialog comes up, click Continue to accept.

4. A window asking for your username and password may come up. Re-enter your KU NetID and KU NetID Password and click OK.

5. You should be connected to KU network successfully.

Windows 10 Users 

1. Select Settings on the main menu.

4. When the KU connection screen comes up, enter the following information:

a. EAP management: PEAP
b. Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
c. CA Certificate: (unspecified)
d. Identity: <your KU NetID>
e. Anonymous Identity: <leave blank>
f. Password: <your KU NetID Password>
g. Click the Save button to connect.

1. On the iOS device menu, select Settings.

2. On the Select Network... dialog, select the KU network.

3. Enter your KU NetID and KU NetID Password when prompted and select Join.

4. When the certificate page comes up, accept DC1.kocun.dslocal.
