1-) First find the file named “hosts” in the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc, then copy that file.
2-)Now, paste “hosts” file to your desktop.
3-) By clicking the file named “hosts” on your desktop, select “open with”.
4-) Select “Notepad” on the opened tab.
5-) Make all necessary changes according to given information ,then save the file.
(First, type given IP address, then type given site URL by leaving at least one space between IP and URL )
6-) Copy the file “hosts” that you just edited on the desktop.
7-) Paste the “hosts” file into the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc.
8 -) Choose “Replace the file in the destination”.
9-) Windows will ask for Administrator permissions. Click “Continue” and editing hosts file is over.
1-) First, hold down Cmd and Space keys, then type “terminal” to the open window.
2-) On the open window type “sudo nano /etc/hosts" and hit return key.
3-) Now, enter your administrator password and then hit return key.
4-) You’re now in the Nano text editor. You should see something that looks like in the below image.
5-) First, type given IP address, then type given site URL by leaving at least one space between IP and URL.
6-) Hold down the control and x keys to see save the file option. Type Y and hit return key.
7-) For last step, On the open window type “sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder" and hit return key.
