Software Developer Intern (Remote/Hybrid) & Product Owner Intern (Remote/Hybrid)

  • Koç University Information Technology (KUIT) is looking for ambitious students to join us as a Product Owner Intern, or Software Developer Intern to take part in our scrum teams developing Koç University’s next generation digital platform, KUHub (https://kuhub.ku.edu.tr).
  • We use the most recent technologies and cloud-native architecture to provide a robust, secure, and resilient foundation that can scale to meet our ever-increasing digital needs of our institution for years to come. We follow an agile methodology to develop product while using DevOps techniques and tools to deliver and operate the apps. We leverage open-source tools and frameworks heavily as and when it makes sense.
  • As an intern, you will be matched to a lead/manager and a mentor and take part in a scrum team. You will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of KUHub and participate in a major product development project in a real-world setting early in your career. Your design, code, test, analysis, problem-solving and other relevant skills will contribute to solving many challenges and delivering new features.

Qualifications

  • Ability to commit to a (3 month / 6 month / 12 month) internship working 26hs/week
  • Creative problem solver with ability to articulating technical challenges, complex problems into solutions
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail

For Product Owner roles:

  • Working towards a BS or MS in Business, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrates strong storytelling capabilities via excellent verbal and written communication skills.

For Software Developer roles:

  • Working towards a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C# or Python including object-oriented design.
  • Experience building software applications through internships, course projects, hackathons or personal projects preferred.
